Apprenticeships at Unity Kitchen

The UnityWorks Apprenticeships Scheme is an 18-month training programme.

It offers fully-accredited training, NVQ qualifications and practical work experience in all aspects of catering and hospitality to people with disabilities.

We recruit apprentices each year. The next recruitment will start in February 2013.

For more information on the apprenticeship programme, contact Glen Sillett, Awards Centre Manager on 020 7485 8177.

LAUNCH YOUR CAREER

A UnityWorks apprenticeship gives you full support to learn all the essentials to start a career in food, service and retail companies.

Apprenticeships usually last for 18 months
but we can work with you to design a
programme that's right for you.

Each apprenticeship includes:

• Practical experience in a whole range of catering and hospitality operations including: front of house, barista skills, food preparation, bakery and salad and sandwich preparation.

• Accredited qualifications and short courses including: NVQs 1 & 2 in Catering & Hospitality, a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a Health& Safety at Work Certificate.

• The London Living Wage while you're training.

ACCREDITED & ACCESSIBLE TRAINING

Run in partnership with Westminster Kingsway College, our apprenticeships are also accredited by the National Apprenticeship Service.

Our classroom-based training courses are accessible for people with learning disabilities. You'll train using 'easy read' course materials and multi-media technology, with support from a learning buddy if you need.

AS YOU PROGRESS

We'll track your progress throughout the programme.

You'll get support to plan your career from our specialist employment advisors. And there may be opportunities to apply for future paid roles at Unity Kitchen and Unity Coffee – giving you the chance to progress your career with us.
