Serious about Sustainability

Unity Kitchen is an ethical caterer. We're members of the Sustainable Restaurant Association and Ethical Eats.

We are passionate about continually improving our environmental performance. As part of this, we are working towards achieving the environmental management standard of ISO 14001.

How green is unity kitchen?

We take our commitment to sustainable business seriously.

Wherever possible we buy from small, independent suppliers. We use Fairtrade, organic coffee from Mozzo – another social enterprise, and buy organic meat from Billfields.

Our fish, from Direct Seafoods, is from sustainable sources and meets Marine Stewardship Council standards, while we
work hard to identify our meat suppliers
and demand positive animal husbandry.

Avoiding air freight and industrial farming
is important to us too, and we buy organic whenever we can.

reduce, reuse and recycle

For us, ethical purchasing goes beyond
food and drink.

Unity Kitchen disposables are 100% compostable and our bottled water is carbon neutral. Our kitchen and cafe interior fit-outs use natural materials wherever possible and
all our marketing materials are printed on paper sourced from sustainable forests.

Offering different portion sizes for different appetites, we also create less food waste.
Our overall promise to reduce, reuse and recycle applies to all our branches, and
we make food composting to reduce waste
a priority.
